FFXV Aro Ace Week
A week of fanworks representing the joys and struggles of aromance, asexuality, and everything else under the umbrella!
Aros? Aces? In my FFXV?
It’s more likely than you think! We aros and aces (and those of us who have yet to make up our minds) have always been secretly lurking in the community, waiting for the opportunity to strike a part of the fandom community both as creators and consumers. You maybe just haven’t realized it because of all the shippy or sexually explicit content we create, consume, and interact with!
For some of us, we see the same experiences and tendencies for aromance and/or asexuality in some of our beloved characters! The FFXV Aro Ace Week is to give everyone a chance to explore those headcanons and create content in the ‘Aromantic Character’ and ‘Asexual Character’ tags for all to enjoy!

FAQ
I feel a little confused about what aromance or asexuality encompases
In the same way that some people are attracted to a different gender, the same gender, or more than one gender, aromance and asexuality may be seen as being attracted to no gender or requiring emotional attachment to precede said attraction. Another way to look at it is that aromantics and asexuals are not generally interested in pursuing romantic or sexual experiences for themselves, respectively. With demiromantics and demisexuals, they may be interested in a romantic and sexual experience for themselves only if an emotional attachment has already been established. Grey aromantics or grey asexuals might experience romantic feelings or sexual attraction rarely or only in specific cases.
Aromanticism or asexuality does not mean a lack of libido, simply the lack of romantic or sexual attraction. Some Aro/Aces are sex positive/favorable or sex neutral and may choose to have sex. Others are sex negative/avoidant and will avoid such experiences and situations.

I want to join the event but I don’t think I’m aro/ace enough :(
There’s no such thing as not being aro/ace enough!
Our goal is for everyone to feel welcome here whether you identify as aro, ace, demi, grey, or anything else. No matter where you fall under the umbrella, all aro/ace creators AND fanwork are all more than welcome in this event!
All that we ask is that everyone strive to be respectful in the content they create and use clear tagging if a work contains sexual situations.
I want to join the event, but I’m allo
(not aro or ace) :(
Even if you don’t identify as aro or ace you are more than welcome to join! We do ask that you’re respectful of the identities (aka no ‘fix-it’ fics) and we encourage you to do research and/or ask questions of the community!
My fic contains non aro/ace ships, is that alright?
While we do ask that one of the main ships is aro and/or ace, your fic is perfectly welcome to have other ships in it! All we ask is that the aro/ace ship is not reduced to merely a background ship.
Rules
Be respectful of the diverse spectrum that exists in the aro/ace umbrella
Tag works appropriately; Works alluding to or containing sexual content must be clearly tagged
Works containing romantic content should use / between names, platonic content should use & between names
Avoid ‘fix-it’ endings- aromanticism and asexuality are not a conditions to be cured
Avoid infantilizing aro/ace characters- lack of attraction does not mean naivety
When in doubt reach out to the mods or others in the aro/ace community.
